The rise/drop of the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-10 is the distance from the top of the shank that slides into the vehicle hitch to the top of the receiver openings. Rise and drop for a ball mount is calculated from the top of the hitch opening. The thickness of the ball mount platform also plays into this as well.
So from the hitch opening down to the ball mount platform for the # BH40 the ball mount measures 4 inches. When you measure from the top of the hitch opening to the ball mount platform when in the rise position you get 2-3/4 inches.

Any multi-ball ball mount such as the Pro Series # 63070 for 2-inch hitches will have varying weight ratings based on which hitch ball is in use. This item is rated for 14K when using its largest 2-5/16-inch ball but has lower weight ratings for the smaller balls.
